June 9, 1998 The LIS science team announces the initial release of Lightning Imaging Sensor data to the science community. The first three months of LIS data for the period December, 1997 to February, 1998 has been reviewed and approved for release by members of the LIS science team. Subsequent months of LIS data will be made available shortly. The production schedule is to release quality assured data sets approximately one month after the data are collected.
